A hot tub or spa cleaning service’s primary job is to make sure the water in a hot tub is clean and safe for people to use. To be consistent, there is a step-by-step process we follow when cleaning a hot tub. In summary, here are those steps:
- Test the water for proper pH, chlorine levels, alkalinity and calcium hardness
- Remove and clean the basket
- Remove and clean the filter
- Next, using a skimmer net and vacuum, clean out any dirt or debris
- Air out and wipe off any grime on the spa cover
- Add water to the appropriate level
- Lastly, turn on the jets and add the needed chemicals based on your earlier test
